Relaciones afectivo-sexuales en línea de los adolescentes: factores explicativos de sus prácticas y experiencias

Resumen

Las nuevas tecnologías de comunicación social están inmersas en la vida de los adolescentes, y son utilizadas en sus relaciones afectivo-sexuales. Este trabajo plantea describir el comportamiento sexual y afectivo que estos tienen en los medios sociales, tanto como receptor pasivo y como sujeto activo. Asimismo, estudia la influencia que distintas variables pueden desempeñar en la manifestación de este tipo de conductas. Se administró un cuestionario de elaboración propia y la subescala sobre la preferencia por la interacción social (POSI) de la Escala de Uso Problemático y Generalizado de Internet (GPIUS-2) en una muestra representativa de adolescentes de educación secundaria de la Comunidad de Madrid (N = 524; M_edad= 13.57 años; DT = 1.24; rango = 12-17 años). Nuestros resultados mostraron que la dieta sexual en línea era superior para los varones y aumentaba con el curso, la frecuencia de uso de las redes sociales y la POSI, tanto para contenidos que se buscan activamente como para aquellos recibidos involuntariamente. A su vez, un uso más intensivo de las redes sociales ha mostrado ser un facilitador del sexting y del cibersexo. Se discute además por qué las estrategias de mediación parental en línea parecen no influir en estas prácticas.
